Taking advantage of India's 'open sky' policy, United Arab Emirates' premier carrier Emirates has launched additional flights between Delhi and Dubai to meet the increased levels of outbound traffic.

The additional five flights would be operated till March 31, providing increased flexibility of choice to the passengers, an airline release said in New Delhi.

Emirates has been attracting New York-bound passengers via Dubai with discounted fares at the rate of Rs 45,160 for economy and Rs 1,36,000 for business class.

Claiming that the Delhi-New York service had received "incredible response", the airline's vice president, Abdulla Nasser Abdulla Hussain, said the Emirates had "already emerged as the most preferred airline for passengers travelling to Dubai and beyond.

With the special Delhi-New York fares, Indian passengers have yet another reason to fly on the award-winning airline". Emirates operates seven weekly services between Delhi and Dubai.
