ECIL gets award for excellence

The Electronic Corporation of India has received an excellence award in the field of instrumentation and industrial electronics from the ministry of communications & information technology.

K S Rajasekhara Rao, the general manager, received the award from Thirunavukkarasar, the union minister of state for communications & IT.

G P Srivastava, the CMD of ECIL, said, "the recognition came for ECIL as a result of its pioneering contributions in the field of power plant simulators and distributed control systems. The company convincingly demonstrated the techno-commercial viability of its total indigenous efforts in this vital field of instrumentation and controls, by successfully deploying a large number of equipments in the nuclear and other critical sectors of our country. Such projects validate the design and development, system engineering, integration, testing, installation, commissioning and after sales support capabilities of ECIL."

Significantly, ECIL's solutions in these sectors offer optimal life-cycle cost to the end users, a release said.

Customers in the high technology area benefit from the cost saving through customized product offerings and support provided throughout the life time of the product.
