Taiwan-based Dopod International forayed into the India's mobile segment on Tuesday with the launch of three high-end handsets in the range of Rs 25,000 to Rs 36,000.

"India is one of the fastest growing and most dynamic market in the world. We will tap the PDA segment in the country, which constitutes 40-45 per cent of the total market," company's India Regional Sales Manager Ajay Sharma said.

The company entered into a strategic tie-up with Jaina Marketing and Associates for distribution of its mobile handsets across the country. Three mobile phones in the price range of Rs 25,000 to Rs 36,000 were unveiled on Tuesday.

"Initially, our handsets will be available in 10 cities, including the four metros. We will increase this number to 25 by next year," Sharma said.

It is looking to tap the mobile market in India after successfully establishing itself in China, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and the Phillipines, he added.
