DHL-Transmile tie up

April 21, 2006 17:15 IST

Express services provider DHL on Friday announced a tie-up with Malaysia-based air express operator Transmile, which will help it deliver consignments from south India to the US in just two days.

The company will deliver consignments from Bangalore, Chennai and other key south Indian markets to the US in two days, a company statement said.

DHL's tie-up with Transmile would route its consignments from Chennai and Bangalore to its Asia Pacific hub -- Hong Kong and it would be further re-directed to its other centres for distribution in east and west coast of the US, it said, adding this route would save time of more than a day for delivering consignments.

"With an exclusive tie-up with Transmile, DHL can cut down on delivery time to the US, especially for south India. We can provide our customers faster delivery," DHL Express India Country Manager Chris Callen said.
