CII team for US to promote film industry

In a bid to promote Indian film industry in the international arena, CII would launch a delegation of film directors, producers and financers of the industry to the American Film Market in California.

The objective of the delegation would be to establish links with the American Film Marketing Association, which hosts the AFM the largest motion picture trade event globally, and other similar groups, CII said in a media in New Delhi on Friday.

It would also aim at significantly increasing its exposure and explore opportunities to expand its business possibilities while learning skills on production processes, corporate procedures and legal policies.

The initiative is aimed at enabling the Indian film industry to market its products and increase international visibility.

The delegation would include film personalities like Rajat Barjatya, Meghna Ghai, Deepak Tijori, Nirja Shah and Pooja Shetty.
