Hyundai launches special edition i10, price starts at Rs 4.24 lakh

Hyundai Motor on Monday launched a special edition of its compact car i10, priced at Rs 424,000 and Rs 457,000 (ex-showroom Delhi), to mark crossing of 12 lakh or 1.2 million sales of the model.

The special edition i10, named 'i Tech' will be available with engine options of 1.1 litre and 1.2 litre.

Commenting on the special edition i10, company vice president (Sales and Marketing) Rakesh Srivastava said: "It is our continuous effort to gauge changing customer preferences and keep introducing new features in our products to give our customers enhanced value offering."

The special edition will have features like rear-view parking camera and electro-chromic function on cabin rear view mirror and steering-mounted blue-tooth device.

The i10 has been one of the successful models from Hyundai's portfolio since its launch in 2007 and

is also exported overseas, apart from being sold in the domestic market. The existing versions of i10 are priced between Rs 408,000 and Rs 445,000 (ex-Showroom Delhi).

Apart from the i10, Hyundai Motor India sells models like Eon, Santro, i20, Verna, Elantra, Sonata and SUV Santa Fe in India.

It is the largest exporter of cars from the country and exports to around 120 countries across EU, Africa, Middle East, Latin America, Australia and the Asia Pacific.
