TWS Holdings, rated amongst the ten large BPOs in the country by Nasscom, is divesting from its Hyderabad centre, Webhelp Global Services, to consolidate its Indian operations in Mumbai.

TWS has entered into an all cash deal with Chicago-based Brigade Corporation.

Addressing a press conference, Sri Dasari, chairman and chief executive officer of Brigade Corporation, said, "Brigade Corporation is strong in chat and e-mail support and the acquisition of WGS will strengthen the company's voice capability operations."

The acquisition of WGS has added 400 employees taking the total number of employees to 1,400. Dasari said that the company is looking at both organic and inorganic growth and is scouting for more strategic acquisitions.

Outlining the company's expansion plan, he said, "We are looking to add about 500 people in the next quarter. After that, we should be adding 400 employees every quarter and the goal is to be a 3,000-employee company by end-2005."

Brigade has also acquired four acres of land in Madhapur to build a 1,50,000 sq ft campus. Dasari said that the investment for the campus would be around Rs 22 crore (Rs 220 million).

"The new facility will create additional space for our future expansion and the work on the campus will start in the first quarter of 2005-06," he added. The company is also constructing a 50,000 sq ft campus in Chennai with an investment of Rs 7 crore (Rs 70 million).

Brigade expects to close the current financial year with a turnover of $17 million. Dasari also said that the company would go for listing in India or the US once the revenues touch $30 million.

"We expect to close the next financial year at $30 million and would be then deciding whether to go for a listing or not," he said.
