June 25, 2004 16:09 IST

US-based business process outsourcing service provider Zenta Group has opened a new site in suburban Mumbai to service its American customers and is planning to double its workforce to 5,000 by March 2005.

Outsourcing and India: Complete Coverage

The centre was opened in response to a growing demand from US customers for outsourced business solutions, a Zenta release said on Friday.

The facility, situated at Hirananani Business Park, would house 1,200 new service employees, apart from the company's training facilities, it said.

The company is also exploring additional locations, both internationally and India, to accommodate its growing businesses. These include a new centre in Powai and a test facility in Goa, and additional centres in the Philippines and China, it added.
