Aviva plans 13 new branches in '05

Aviva Life Insurance, which has embarked on an expansion drive, on Monday announced the opening 13 new branches across the country in 2005 while doubling the sales force.

"We are further expanding our presence and we will now be opening 13 new branches taking our total strength to 37," Stuart Purdy, managing director, Aviva said.

These 13 branches will be opened in Chandigarh, Delhi, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Chennai, Nagpur, Kolkata, Bangalore, Vishakapatnam, Bhubaneswar and Goa.

"To service our customers better we will also be doubling our sales force strength in the current year," Purdy said. At present, Aviva has about 5000 financial planning advisors across the country.

Aviva offers a wide range of products including whole life (LifeLong), term (LifeShield), endowment (LifeSaver), child policy (Young Achiever), single premium (LifeBond Plus), regular savings personal pension plan (PensionPlus) and a five-year recurring premium investment plan (LifeBond 5).
