Enthused by the thaw in Indo-Pak relations, Apollo Health and Lifestyle is planning to set up its chain of clinics in the neighbouring country.
"We have received couple of proposals though nothing has been firmed up as yet.
"We would be carrying out a comprehensive study of the prospective locations for clinics like Karachi and Lahore for which Apollo officials will be visiting the country soon,"
Ratan Jalan, chief executive officer, Apollo Health and Lifestyle told PTI after launching the first of a series of chronic care disease management programme -- 'BreatheEazy' -- for asthma.
Jalan said that while the company was aggressively eyeing that country, any concrete plan would be considered after proper evaluation of the proposals.
The company plans to set up 250 clinics out of which 30-40 clinics would be in other countries.
Jalan said the programme was based on the guidelines of the National Institute of Health, USA.
