December 07, 2005 11:54 IST
Malaysia's popular no-frills airline, AirAsia, has said it will give away two million free seats to mark its fourth anniversary, a media report said in Kuala Lumpur.

The offer will cover all domestic and regional flights departing from its four hubs - Kuala lumpur, Bangkok, Jakarta and Senai in Johor.

To be eligible for the free seats, bookings must be done online or on mobile or wireless device from today till December 28 for travel from February 7 to October 10, 2006, The Star newspaper said.

It is touted to be the biggest online free seats campaign ever offered in Asia, AirAsia vice president Kathleen Tan said. She said the airline had carried 15 million passengers in the region and the offer of two million seats would enable more Asians to travel by air.

The airline said it would launch an aggressive advertising campaign simultaneously in eight countries -- Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, China, Vietnam, the Philippines and Cambodia from today.
