"vCustomer has already designed this facility to ensure compliance with its ISO 9001:2000 certification standards. Our Chennai centre will be equipped with the latest data communication facilities and redundancy capabilities, a pre-requisite for today's 24x7 call-centre requirements which is a considerable part of our investment," Joshua said.

The company would recruit around 600 employees for the chennai centre, which would be in addition to the existing 4,000 employees working at its various centres, he said.

Currently, vCustomer offers CRM and customer support solutions to the banking and finance, government & PSU, retail, consumer durables, technology, telecom and travel and hospitality industries.

The Chennai facility too would soon provide services and solution to all these verticals, he said.

Joshua said the company was in advanced stages of evaluating new geographies and markets to further its reach globally across industries.

"We are looking at adding a few new markets by H1 2009," he added.
