Planning Commission member Abhijit Sen on Wednesday said growth in the next fiscal may reach seven per cent due to the stimulus packages already introduced.

"(Five per cent) was the worst case calculation without any stimulus package. But as we know, there were stimulus packages, which can add 1.5 to 2 per cent, effectively taking GDP growth to 6.5-7 per cent in 2009-10," he said.

On deflation he said, "I personally do not see any threat of generalised deflation, though it (might happen) in some sectors."
