The XIV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in Hyderabad on Wednesday posted to March 6 hearing on the petition of CBI seeking custody of Satyam's [Get Quote] former Chairman B Ramalinga Raju and four others.

The judge posted the hearing for Friday on the request of CBI counsel, who sought two days' time to start the process of arguments, stating that CBI had only recently taken up investigation of the case, which was being looked into by Andhra Pradesh CID till now.

CBI had yesterday filed an application in the court seeking seven days' custody of Raju brothers and other accused for interrogating them in connection with the Rs 7,800-crore (Rs 78 billion) Satyam fraud case.

The judge also posted hearing on the bail applications of S Gopalakrishnan and Talluri Srinivas, former auditors of Price Waterhouse for March 6.
