The 6th Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ramakrishna also extended the police custody of former chief financial officer Vadlamani Srinivas by one more day.

The magistrate passed the orders in the afternoon after hearing the arguments of public prosecutor and defense lawyers in favor of and against the petition for extending the police custody.

The Crime Branch/Criminal Investigation Department had sought extension in police custody by three days saying they need to question Raju and Vadlamani Srinivas about the financial fraud in the company and the transactions in fictitious names.

Raju and Vadlamani will continue to be questioned at the CID headquarters till Friday afternoon when they will be again produced before the court. The bail petition moved by Raju's lawyers will also come up for hearing tomorrow.

In a related development the CID officials have raided the house of Ramalinga Raju's brother Suryanarayana Raju and searched another building in Jeedimetla. VSK Kumudi, inspector general, CID said that the raids were carried out on specific information that many documents belonging to Satyam and the family were kept there.
