T R Prasad, who was an independent director on the board of tainted IT firm Satyam [Get Quote] Computer, has resigned from the board of yet another company Taj Gvk Hotels & Resorts.
"T R Prasad had submitted his resignation for directorship vide his letter dated January 13, 2009 with immediate effect," Taj Gvk said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The said letter would be put up for board approval in the meeting, which is to be held on January 30, 2009, it added.
In a week's time, Prasad has resigned from the boards of six firms, as per data available on the stock exchange website.
On Thursday, Prasad resigned as an independent director from the board of Suven Life Sciences [Get Quote].
Earlier this week, Prasad had resigned from the boards of GMR Infrastructure [Get Quote], Delhi International Airport Ltd, TVS Motor Company [Get Quote] and castings firm Nelcast Ltd.
A former Cabinet secretary, Prasad was one of the independent directors in the disbanded Satyam board and had expressed his views on the controversial 1.6 billion-dollar Satyam-Maytas aborted deal.
