A day after Ramalinga Raju announced his departure from Satyam [Get Quote] Computer after admitting to the country's biggest ever corporate fraud, a website by his name, launched supposedly by his fans last week, vanished into oblivion on Thursday.

The website,, was launched with much fanfare last week by some people claiming to be Raju's well-wishers, who blamed media for giving him bad publicity.

Attempts to reach the site, which was available till Wednesday, was today displayed "page not available" or "webpage cannot be found" error messages.

With a tag line of "Satyameva Jayate" (truth shall win), the website was soliciting public support for Raju. Various postings on the website had said Raju was a hero for them.

After the launch of the website, a Satyam spokesperson had said that it was not an official website and that "some well-wishers might have hosted it".

However, the disclosure of financial fraud at Satyam has led to flooding of internet message boards with postings ridiculing Raju.

In one of the polls being conducted at a message board on Orkut, the social networking website of Google, about 80 per cent voted in favour of criminal proceedings to be adopted against Raju.

Further, on another networking and micro blogging site Twitter, comments like,"Main Hoon Scam, Main Hoon Scam, Main Hoon, Main Hoon, Raju Scam...," "Daaku, oye raju fraud na doob jata hai," and "Satyam Facts: Rise, rise and fall."

Other comments, like "Satyam's Raju untraceable, regulator team in Hyderabad," and "Raj Raju Ramalinga, Tara ram pam pam," "Paison ne bulwaya, Hazir hun mein aya," "Hun Scammers ka Scam, aakal ka dushman," are being floated on the website.

In the top 10 searches on Google today, "Where is Ramalinga Raju" figured at fifth position, while "Satyam scam" was also there at the 10th spot.

Other searches, Maytas was there at 17th position, Satyam employees at 24th, PwC-Satyam, Satyam Annual Report, Satyam Press Conference, etc. figured in the top 50 on Google today.

Further, trends on Google show that hits on Ramalinga Raju and Satyam has seen a sudden surge from December 16 onwards when the fiasco had begun to emerge.
