Satyam: No intimation from regulator, says L&T

Engineering major Larsen & Toubro said on Tuesday it has not received any intimation from market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India regarding its chairman and managing director, A M Naik's comment on the Satyam [Get Quote] issue.

"We have not received any intimation on that. It's a rumour," an L&T spokesperson told PTI.

He was reacting to reports that Sebi was examining Naik's comments and would seek an explanation from him.

Naik had on an analysts' call said that L&T had 'far more information on what's going on (in Satyam).'

L&T recently increased its stake in the beleaguered IT firm to 12.04 per cent from the 4 per cent earlier.
