Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group firm Reliance [Get Quote] Power has submitted the mining plan of the Chhatrasal coal block, which would supply coal to the company's 4,000 MW ultra mega power project at Sasan in Madhya Pradesh.

"Reliance Power has submitted the mining plan of the Chhatrasal coal block to the Ministry of Coal, one of the three coal mines that would supply fuel to the company's Sasan UMPP," sources said.

The ministry has already approved the mining plan for the Moher and Moher Amlori Extension coal blocks in June and is awaiting clearance from the Ministry of Environment and Forests.

The geological report of the coal block was given to Reliance Power in February and the company created the mining plan in seven months time.

Sasan Power Ltd is a special purpose vehicle set up by Power Finance Corp for the Reliance Power's 4,000 MW Sasan UMPP in Madhya Pradesh.
