Delhi households are the fourth most prosperous in India, with an average annual household income of Rs 337,678.
By 2016, more than half of households in these twenty cities will be middle class, while the high-income segment could more than triple. Meanwhile, the share of low-income households could halve, to 6.9 per cent from 15.7 per cent today.
