Terminal Markets Projects will be expedited in all states that have potential for such projects, said a conference organized by the agriculture ministry.

The two-day conference on Agriculture for Rabi Campaign-2007 that ended here today said more projects may be expected from the State Agricultural Marketing Boards.

State agencies should modernize existing infrastructure to strengthen marketing, grading and standardization scheme, said the conference in its recommendation.

The process of amendments in the Agricultural Produce Marketing Committee (APMC) Act in the remaining states will be expedited and modified Rules will be notified under amended Acts by March, 2008.
