Market regulator SEBI on Friday slapped a fine of Rs 1 crore on Goldman Sachs Investment (Mauritius) for the latter's failure to report the issuance of participatory notes to Mauritius-based Magnus Capital Corporation Ltd.

This violated the declaration to furnish fortnightly statement on issue of PNs to Securities & Exchange Board of India adjudicating officer Amit Pradhan said in his order issued in Mumbai.

The fine will have to be paid by Goldman Sachs within 45 days of receipt of the order.
