8 MP digicams at Rs 14,999

Sahara Computers and Electronics Ltd, the South Africa-based global technology major, on Monday launched two new models of digital cameras with 8.0 and 6.0 mega pixels in its range of lifestyle products.

The new models -- 4SC1 and 5SC1 -- are available in metallic gold colour and are priced at Rs 11,999 and Rs 14,999, respectively.

Sahara Computers and Electronics Ltd  is a joint venture between Sahara India Pariwar and Sahara Computers (Pty) Limited, South Africa.

The two new models of Sahara digicams are targetted at customers, who seek pride in owning a new-age digital camera; prefer superior performance, user-friendly features and stylish products.

Commenting on the new cameras, George Van Der Merwe, chief operating officer, SCEL, said in a media statement, "Interesting trends in the market today indicate, users growing acceptance of alternative high end technology that delivers both performance as well as the price advantage. Both these products launched today is in line with our continuing commitment of providing innovative solutions to meet consumer's needs."

The 4S features 8X digital zoom, 3X optical zoom and up to 6.2 mega pixels. This Sahara digital camera encompasses a 2.0-inch LTPS color LCD screen for easy viewing and rechargeable batteries, said the media statement.

The highly compatible 6.2 mega pixels camera could also be self-timed from 2.5 to 10 seconds, the focus range could be adjusted and provides a convenient option of selecting between shooting mode, i.e. single, continuous and movie.

The camera comes with advanced image resolutions, 1 MB built-in flash memory, media removable SD card and auto control built-in flash.

The state of the art 5S features auto focus 8X digital zoom, 3X optical zoom and up to 8.0 mega pixels. The digicam boasts a 2.0-inch LTPS color LCD screen for easy viewing and rechargeable batteries. The digital camera comes with superior image resolutions, 32 MB built-in flash memory, media removable SD card/MMC optional and auto control built-in flash.

Just as the 4S, the hi-tech, 5S 8.0 mega pixels camera also offers a handy option of selecting between various shooting modes, i.e. single, continuous and movie. It could be also self-timed from 2.5 to 10 seconds and the focus range could be adjusted as per user convenience.
