The world's richest are turning philanthropic.

Just a few days ago Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates announced he would give up his day-to-day role in the IT major by 2008 and spend more time on the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

Now, the world's second richest man and legendary investor Warren Buffet will donate $37 billion (Rs 172,440 crore) from his $44-billion fortune to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
