Indians, world's biggest shopaholics

A global online survey by ACNielsen says that the world's biggest shopaholics are in Asia; a lot of them in India.
What's more, almost 32 per cent of the shoppers in India say they go shopping mostly for 'entertainment.'

Do you go shopping more for amusement than to fulfil a necessity? What do you think of this trend? Is it because Indians are getting richer, or is it because we sorely lack entertainment avenues?
