Airport employees are on a warpath. Even as they threatened to go on a strike the moment the government opens the financial bids for the privatisation of the Delhi and Mumbai airports, the government has invoked the Essential Services Maintenance Act to stop the strike.

But if the strike goes as planned, be prepared for dirty toilets and few trolleys where you want them to be at all the 124 airports in India.

The employees' union says that the modernisation of the airports should be done by the Airports Authority of India and not by private firms. The government feels otherwise.
