Genpact wins $60-mn German contract
January 19, 2006 17:41 IST

Third-party BPO company Genpact on Thrusday said it has signed a multi-year contract with Germany-based technology group Linde to provide finance and accounting services, valued at over $60 million.

Under the contract, Genpact will deliver a range of finance and accounting processes in a global service delivery model from its Bucharest and New Delhi operations centers.

This is the second major contract win for Genpact. Last month Wachovia Corporation, the fourth largest bank holding company in the United States (based on assets), signed a 7-year agreement with Genpact to establish an offshore operation to support Wachovia's business process outsourcing efforts.

"We are honored that Linde has selected Genpact as its outsourcing partner and look forward to bringing GE best practices to the relationship as part of our agreement," Genpact President & CEO Pramod Bhasin said in a statement.

"Both our companies are focussed on process excellence, which will fuel the synergy between our companies. We are seeking to grow aggressively in Europe and this win will give us momentum to invest in this key growth market for Genpact," Bhasin added.
