Personal computer major Acer has announced the launch of its TravelMate 2312 NLCi (TM2312NLCi) with integrated wireless LAN connectivity and available at Rs 29,999 (plus taxes).

TravelMate 2312 uses an Intel Celeron M360 processor. Using a Linux-based operating system with Windows; the TravelMate 2312 has a 15-inch display and a combo CDRW/DVD drive.

Under Windows mode this notebook provides for a user-friendly feature-the Acer eManager, which includes the Acer ePresentation, Acer eRecovery, which lets users restore their operating system or back up the laptop ensuring that they do not lose valuable data and Acer eSettings feature options.

Available in attractive folio designs with anti-slip grip and ports located on the front panel for easy access, the TravelMate 2312 is also accompanied by the Acer FineTouch keyboard. Additionally, the latest proprietary Acer SignalUp technology has also been incorporated into this notebook for more reliable wireless connectivity, which allows up to 25-30 per cent higher reach as compared to competition technology.

The TM2312 is built for solid performance, having withstood a set of more than 13 rigorous tests performed by Acer.

Speaking on the launch of the TravelMate 2312, S Rajendran, GM (Sales & Marketing, Consumer Products Group), Acer India said, "Acer has always been at the forefront in supporting the latest technologies that enhance customer experience and innovation. Acer SignalUp technology provides two panel-top PIFA antennae, which generate an omni directional signal sphere that enables superior wireless signal reception and range along with stable and speedy wireless data transfer. WiFi Certification guarantees trouble free compatibility with other WiFi devices.

In addition the TM2312 possesses Cisco compatible Extensions (CCX) and Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) compatibility, signifying essential security for 802.11-based network client products.
