Anil Ambani meets Chidambaram

Reliance Industries [Get Quote] vice-chairman Anil Ambani on Friday spent the day in the capital holding numerous meetings, including one with Finance Minister P Chidambaram.

According to sources, Anil also met senior finance ministry officials. The details of the discussions with Chidambaram and other officials are not known.

 The Reliance 'ownership issue'

On Thursday, Anil had shot off a letter to his elder brother Mukesh, accusing a key director of one of the group companies of sullying the group's image.

Anand Jain, the director of a Reliance company IPCL [Get Quote] and a close confidant of RIL chairman Mukesh Ambani, was the target of a letter sent by Anil to his brother.

Anil had attacked Jain earlier this month also by accusing him of conspiring to divide the family.
