3 Global to hire 3,000 in India this year

3 Global Services, part of Hutchison Whampoa Ltd, a Fortune 500 company, is in a major expansion mode and is planning to hire 3,000 people for its Indian operations this year.

The recruitment will span all levels of operations.

The new workforce will operate 3GS' varied functions ranging from sales & campaign management, customer care to value added services (up sell & cross sell), inbound and outbound collections, and customer retention. Notably, 3GS services over 4 million customers in Australia and the United Kingdom.

The company will recruit aspirants having a basic degree, through a robust selection procedure that includes a written aptitude test, group discussion and an interview.

Candidates who have experience in the CRM industry will have an added advantage.

Says Sanjay Luthra, Director, Customer Service, 3 Global Services-India, "Our growth has been good in the past few years and we will continue to grow through 2005."

Third-generation technology facilitates a rare convergence of communication, information and entertainment. Customers can make a video call, download and watch music videos, watch live sports action and even leave video messages.

3 Global Services is based out of MindSpace, Mumbai. The company started CRM operations in March 2003 simultaneously with the launch of 3 Global in the UK and Australia. It has grown to over 3,500 employees in its first two years of operations in India.

It provides end-to-end CRM services to customers of 3 Global in the UK and Australia. 3 Global Services has two customer service centers in India covering an area of over 2,00,000 sq. ft.
