WNS Global to hire 2000 more

BS Corporate Bureau in Mumbai | September 10, 2004 09:35 IST

WNS Global, India's largest third-party business process outsourcing company, is planning to push up its headcount to 6,500-7,000 by the end of the current financial year. WNS currently employs 5000 people across its delivery centres in Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, UK and Colombo.

The Colombo center, which opened only earlier this year, currently seats 200 people. The manpower at the Colombo centre is expected to double over the year. WNS has a total capacity of 3700 seats. WNS grew its employee strength by over 80 per cent in the last year.

The company which finished on top in Nasscom's 2003 third party BPO audit registered revenues of $103 million in the last financial year, an 84 per cent growth over the previous year.

"The growth has come mainly from increased business from existing customers and the acquisition of 32 new customers during the year," said Neeraj Bharagava, group CEO of WNS Global.
