Nationwide SBI strike on Dec 6-7
November 16, 2004 16:25 IST
The State Bank of India Staff Association on Tuesday called a two-day countrywide strike in the bank on December 6 and 7 and threatened to go on an indefinite stir from December 27 if their demands for settlement of various issues, including pay hike, were not met by the management.
SBISA General Secretary (Bengal Circle) Ashok Datta said the decision was taken as even after a successful countrywide strike in SBI on November 5, the management was yet to take any positive step towards settlement on the issues.
"SBISA and State Bank Officers' Federation have decided to intensify the agitation, including two day's countrywide strike on December 6 and 7 and indefinite strike from December 27 in SBI," Datta said.
