November 02, 2004 18:17 IST

Taking competition on airfares a step further, Jet Airways on Tuesday extended its 'check fares' scheme, which provides low fares on select flights even at the last moment, to nine more sectors taking the total to 19.

The scheme, which is in addition to the advance purchase programme, provides low fares on select flights and the rates are almost 40 per cent less than the normal fares subject to availability of tickets.

The 'check fares' have been extended with immediate effect to Jaipur-Delhi, Kochi-Mumbai, Kozhikode-Mumbai, Chennai-Mumbai, Kolkata-Delhi, Hyderabad-Mumbai and Chennai-Madurai sectors, the premier private airline said in a release.

It said the offer would also be introduced to more flights on Chennai-Delhi, Chennai-Hyderabad and Mumbai-Delhi sectors.
