Wipro strengthens ties with Microsoft

BS Bureau in Bangalore | May 01, 2004 11:12 IST

Wipro and Microsoft, which have successfully worked together for nearly five years now, are set to take their engagement forward.

The partnership, which started with software development, was extended last September to the BPO field. Wipro Spectramind has since then been providing customer and product support for multiple product lines across the retail and enterprise space from its Navi Mumbai facility.

In view of the sensitivities involved, the partners were very reticent about details of the engagement when it began. However, after more than six months, Microsoft has now come forward to say, "Microsoft and Wipro Spectramind continue to have a strong relationship and identify new opportunities."

Industry experts are familiar with the Wipro-Microsoft partnership stretching across various service lines since 1999. It has covered R&D services, .NET migration and system integration. Because of the strength of the partnership, Wipro is an MS Certified Gold Support Partner.
