PM to head Cabinet committee on WTO

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will head the Cabinet Committee on World Trade Organisation, which will decide on issues pertaining to the international trade organisation.

The Committee will have nine ministers as members besides two special invitees.

Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee, Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar, Steel and Mines Minister Ramvilas Paswan, Finance Minister P Chidambaram, Textiles Minister Shankarsinh Vaghela, Commerce and Industry Minister Kamal Nath, Rural Development Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh, Communications Minister Dayanidhi Maran and Minister of State for Science and Technology Kapil Sibal are the members.

The special invitees are Deputy Chairperson of the Planning Commission, when appointed, and Prithviraj Chauhan, Minister of State in PMO.
