I-T returns can be filed till Oct 31

The last date for filing Income-Tax returns has been extended by three months from July 31 to October 31. Central Board of Direct Taxes said the new date for filing returns is applicable for the salaried and non-corporate assessees, whose accounts are not required to be audited under the Income-Tax Act.
