Govt in talks with Suzuki to sell MUL stake

The government on Friday said it had started talks with Japanese auto major Suzuki for offloading its remaining equity in joint venture Maruti Udyog Ltd.

Divestment Minister Arun Shourie told newspersons in New Delhi that the government would complete the sale of residual stake in Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd, Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd and IBP by mid-February and bring public offer for offloading equity in Dredging Corporation.
