Mukesh, Anil meet at prayer ceremony

A day after the high-voltage boardroom battle at Reliance Industries, the two warring brothers -- Mukesh Ambani and Anil Ambani – on Tuesday attended a peace prayer in memory of their father Dhirubhai.

Tuesday was the birth anniversary of the late Dhirubhai, founder chairman of Reliance Industries.

Informed sources said the prayer took place at the ground floor temple at Sea Wind, the high-rise residential complex of the Ambani family. In addition to the families of Mukesh and Anil, their mother Kokilaben also attended the prayer.

According to sources, regular aarti takes place at the temple in the evenings. However, both the brothers met at the temple for the first time today after the spat over the ownership of the control of the Reliance group was brought to light.

Earlier in the day, Mukesh Ambani, chairman and managing director of Reliance Industries delivered the H L Roy Memorial Lecture in the city.

He said India and China would be manufacturing bases for end products, while the sector is expected to record $ 2.5 billion this year.

He said co-location of manufacturing bases would also be an emerging trend, while a radical change in diversity and structure of products, banking on the emerging technologies would also be the order of the day.
