FII net sales at Rs 76 crore

Massive sales by foreign institutional investors saw the Sensex slipping by a whopping 112 points on Black Monday.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India said that the FIIs offloaded stocks worth around Rs 76.028 crore (Rs 760.28 million) on Monday, triggering off a mini collapse in the market.

The foreign institutional investors had effected net sales $19.2 million on September 11, Sebi said.

The capital markets regulator said that the cumulative outstanding investments of FIIs stood at Rs 86,240.026 crore ($18.8297 billion) as of Friday, September 13.
