High-level Pak business delegation arrives in India

Twelve top Pakistan business tycoons along with their spouses arrived in Wagah after crossing the international border through the land route on Saturday.

The delegation of Pakistan businessmen is in India on the invitation Confederation of Indian Industry to participate in the meeting to be held at New Delhi on Sunday. The delegation would stay in India till September 17.

The managing director of Karachi-based Hashwani Group of Companies Amin Hashwani led the group of Pakistani business tycoons.

"This is a goodwill visit to India to set grounds for more cordial liaison between the two neighboring nations. There is tremendous unexplored economic potential to accelerate mutual business and trade relations," Amin told reporters.

Hashwani said, is was purely a business tour and had "nothing to do with the politics between the two nations. We will discuss the sustainable business dealings that could help strengthen the associations between the business communities of both the neighboring countries".

Sikandar Mustafa Khan, chairman and chief executive of Lahore-based Millat Tractors said, Pakistani businessmen during their visit to India would also go to Mumbai besides New Delhi to examine the business potential and its practicability.
