Bajaj Auto has already reduced its workforce by half to about 12,000 during the last 3-5 years.

The new motorcycle in the executive category would be positioned as a volume spinner, he said, adding, "The 100,000 sales would help us become the largest motorcycle maker."

The company has also entered into an agreement with its Japanese technical collaborator Kawasaki to export is 125cc motorcycle Wind.

Kawasaki has its dealer network in place and the motorcycle would be sold abroad in the brandname of Kawasaki, he said adding that the agreement could be extended to other upcoming products as well.

He said production at a three-wheeler plant of its dealer in Brazil was gradually being ramped up and the products would now be exported to the preferential trade agreement Mercosur countries of Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay.
