MTNL reintroduces full talk time on Trump

The state-owned Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd on Friday announced reintroduction of full talk value on all denomination of recharge coupons for subscribers of its pre-paid service Trump, but hiked SMS charges to Re 1 per SMS from existing 80 paise for both pre-paid and post-paid users.

"On the overwhelming response for the pre-paid service, MTNL is reintroducing the full talks value of Rs 300, Rs 500, Rs 1,000 and Rs 2,000 in all the denominations of recharge coupons with effect from November 1, 2003," MTNL said in a statement in New Delhi.

It said while the CLIP facility was being provided free for pre-paid services, in case of post paid services the CLIP facility would be charged at the rate of Rs 50 per month for all the tariff plans like Budget, Economy, Plan A B C and D henceforth.

"The existing activation charges and various call rates remain the same," it added.

The release further said that the SMS rates have been revised from the existing 80 paise to Rs 1 per SMS for both pre-paid as well as post-paid service Dolphin.

"The earlier talk value validity period of 30 days, 60 days, 120 days and 360 days remain the same for these recharge coupons," it added.
