HC defers hearing on SCI divestment

The Delhi high court on Wednesday deferred hearing on a petition challenging the Union government's decision to divest its stake in the public sector undertaking Shipping Corporation of India.

A bench comprising Chief Justice B C Patel and Justice A K Sikri deferred till next week hearing on the petition filed by a society -- Forum for Justice and Peace -- on the ground that the Supreme Court was likely to hear a matter pertaining to divestment.
