Cadila Q2 net up at Rs 39.43 crore

Cadila Healthcare Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 39.43 crore (Rs 394.3 million) for the second quarter ended September 30, 2003, compared to Rs 30.28 crore (Rs 302.8 million) recorded in the same period last fiscal.

Total income of the entity, post merger of German Remedies, Recon Healthcare, Zydus Pathline and Zoom Properties with the company, stood at Rs 329.41 crore (Rs 3,294.1 million) as against Rs 289.8 crore (Rs 2,898 million) in Q2 of last year, Cadila informed the Bombay Stock Exchange, on Monday.

The figures of the previous quarter are not comparable due to the merger, it said.

On a standalone basis, the company has reported a net profit of Rs 39.43 crore [Rs 394.3 million (Rs 25.46 crore (Rs 254.6 million) in Q2 of last year)] while total income was pegged at Rs 329.41 crore (Rs 3,294.1 million), it added.
