Nokia ringtones, games in India now

Nokia on Wednesday announced the launch of next generation Nokia mobile services in India.

Targeting mobile users who are keen to get online mobile and information services, Nokia will offer a wide range of entertainment and personalisation branded mobile services such as tones, graphics and games.

Nokia mobile services include downloadable ringing tones, picture messages, operator logos and interesting games.

"By leveraging Nokia's technical expertise in mobile phones technologies and our insight into consumer demands, Nokia aims to deliver a total product offering to consumers with entertainment and personalisation services optimised for Nokia mobile phones to complement users' mobile experience," Sanjeev Sharma, managing director, Nokia Mobile Phones India, said in a press statement.

Nokia will collaborate with strategic content partners and developers to offer these services to its clientele.

The company has already tied up with leading Bollywood production houses like Harry Baweja, Rajshri Pictures Pvt Ltd, and R S Entertainment. Nokia has also tied up with Indian Performing Rights Society for the ringtones.

Nokia mobile services would be available to the subscribers of Hutch across India at nominal costs ranging from Rs 10 for a ringtone download to Rs 50 for a java game.

The company is working closely with the operator to ensure a seamless user experience for the purchase and payment of Nokia mobile services.

Nokia mobile users can download these services by sending SMS to 5555.
