Maruti to hike prices by December end

India's biggest carmaker Maruti Udyog Ltd on Thursday said it will announce a price hike by the end of December.

"We will take a decision to this effect by the end of next month," MUL managing director Jaggish Khattar said.

The increase will come into effect from January, 2004, he said, without giving any details.
