Maruti sales vault 35% in Oct

India's largest car manufacturer Maruti Udyog Ltd on Monday reported a 35 per cent jump in sales to 38,715 vehicles in October as opposed to 28,630 units sold in the same month last year.

Sales rose 31.6 per cent to 251,183 vehicles in the first seven months of the current fiscal as against 190,940 units sold in April-October last year, Maruti said in a statement.

Exports vaulted two-folds to 5260 units in October.
