SBI Q1 bottomline up 20%

SBI has reported a 20 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 913.50 crore (Rs 9.13 billion) for the quarter ended June 30, 2003 when compared with Rs 763.20 crore (Rs 7.63 billion) of the last fiscal.

Total income increased 11 per cent to Rs 9,528.72 crore (Rs 95.29 billion) from Rs 8,570.38 crore (Rs 85.70 billion) in the corresponding period of the last fiscal, according to a release issued to the Bombay Stock Exchange on Thursday.
