Travel advisories affecting FDI flow: Sinha

Finance minister Yashwant Sinha, on Monday asked the foreign countries to withdraw travel advisories, cautioning their citizens against visiting the sub-continent, as they were adversely affecting the investment climate in the country.

Talking to reporters in Ranchi en route to New Delhi, Sinha said the travel advisories issued by different countries including the US, the UK and Japan in the wake of Indo-Pak tension was forcing foreign investors to stay away from India.

The finance minister said that withdrawal of these advisories might help improve the investment scenario in the country.

Asked if there will be a change of guard in Jharkhand, Sinha said, "There is no move to effect a change of leadership in the state government and I am not in the race for the CM's post."
