Maruti shuts down plant for maintenance

Maruti Udyog Ltd, the country's largest passenger car maker, shut down its manufacturing plant for a week on Monday for maintenance.

This is a routine exercise every six months, a Maruti spokesperson said.

Its offices will function during this period while production will be stopped for maintenance of the machines.
